With its focus on data security and privacy, MedFile strives to revolutionize healthcare in India by fostering efficient collaboration and empowering patients to take control of their well-being.
UNDERSTANDING OUR USERS
We identified five primary user goals that we wanted to solve:
-
Reporting and monitoring symptoms
-
Online video consultations
-
Nutrition management
-
Medication adherence
-
Digital prescriptions
Health History
Traditional paper-based medical forms are time consuming and prone to human error. I designed tap-based input to make the process of entering data faster and less mundane. I added defaults and suggestions based on patient history and designed pre-filled templates to reduce the tedium of completing paper-based forms.

Medication Tracking
Medication adherence refers to tracking how long the patient has continued with the prescribed medication. Knowing if a patient has completed their medication within the prescribed duration and recording the outcome allows the medical faculty to make more informed decisions about treatment and recovery.
We designed a medication schedule that allows users to keep track of their progress and get notified when their next dose is due. Users can also view a list of all the medicines that they have been prescribed and purchase the medication when needed. The MedFile algorithm automatically calculates the quantity of medication required based on the prescription and notifies the user when the medication is low.

Chose the sans serif font to create a technology feeling also users can understand information easily by simple stroke fonts. This font which missing serifs led has a positive effect when user reading speed. Kai et al.(2015). Bold Fonts are more different than regular fonts because this application has a lot of information. It is important to make all information clear.

Because we have function for making an appointment with a doctor, we also designed symbols for each departments.

Designed four icons for three main functions. Used square shaped and no rounded corners to show hi-tech-ish.

The SOS function is highlighted with red colors as our brains have been adapted to the red as a warning color/symbols. Hence the bright color will help grab attention of an user during emergency situations.
Also it was designed to be placed in the right corner of the screen to make it user friendly.

The plus symbol is widely used in many applications, such as: Google calendar, google maps, alarm and contacts to help their users.
Hence, we decided to provide our users with a similar designed icon to let them add more data in the app.

Used color representation method on the calendar to help users understand their reminders on every different date. The different color strikes denote the core functions of the app, such as: medical history, book an appointment and medication tracking.

The red pin on the screen was inspired from google maps. This pin component helps a user to pin their location on the map.
